Privacy Policy
How we handle personal data and sensitive integration information.
Welcome to the website of Hook Technology Limited (the “Site”). We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site, especially when you share details about systems, workloads, or security posture. This statement governs our privacy practices with respect to users of the Site (“Visitors”) who browse without contracting with us, and Visitors who register or otherwise engage Hook Technology Limited to deliver professional services (collectively, “Services”) (“Authorised Customers”).
Personally Identifiable Information
"Personally Identifiable Information" refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, email address, and financial profiles. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.
What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?
We may collect basic user profile information from all of our Visitors. We collect the following additional information from our Authorised Customers: name, email address, telephone number, registered office or trading address, role, and information about your technical environment (for example APIs in scope, approximate volumes, and regulatory context) in order to scope and deliver integration, automation, and platform advisory Services.
Client data, integration artefacts & telemetry
In the course of delivering Services we may be granted access to confidential business information, including but not limited to API specifications, credentials or key-management workflows (where you choose to share them), queue and webhook configurations, sample payloads, observability exports, source code excerpts, ticketing systems, and cloud billing or usage views (“Client Data”). We treat this material as highly sensitive engineering information.
- Data security: We implement administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect Client Data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access is limited to personnel and subprocessors who require it to perform their duties and is reviewed as engagements evolve.
- Data usage: Client Data is used to deliver, document, and improve the specific Services agreed with you. We do not sell or rent Client Data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own unrelated marketing purposes.
- Confidentiality: Employees and contractors are bound by strict confidentiality obligations. Architecture diagrams, incident timelines, backlog notes, and performance findings are handled as confidential unless we agree otherwise in writing.
How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to tailor the Site experience, to propose appropriate Services, and to fulfil enquiries submitted through the Site. We may email Visitors and Authorised Customers about relevant technical topics, engagement updates, or changes to this policy where the law requires it. We also use it to respond to specific questions you raise with Hook Technology Limited.
